Stan went back to the vet today to get his blood drawn. We’ll find out in a few days if his thyroid hormone is down to normal levels.
It is possible, but not likely, that he would have to have another round of iodine treatment if his levels aren’t down far enough.
It’s also possible that the remainder of his thyroid isn’t enough to make sufficient amounts of hormone. If levels are low enough after a few months we’ll have to give him a daily pill.
