(though not entirely \u00af&#92;_(\u30c4)_\/\u00af )\u00a0 She tried really hard, though.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight was opening night, and the whole show was fantastic &#8211; Alpha was great, but the rest of the show was great too.\u00a0 No disasters, not even a missed line, and the leads had really strong voices.\u00a0 It felt more like a high school production than middle school.\u00a0 Most importantly, the kids really looked like they were having fun (especially the kid who played &#8216;Ryan&#8217;).<\/p>\n<p>Next year the high school is going to see some great singing talent come in.\u00a0 And Alpha?\u00a0 She&#8217;s talking about trying out for the next show.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shortly before the new year, Alpha surprised us by trying out for a part in drama club &#8211; High School Musical.\u00a0 She made it into the supporting cast.
