{"id":229,"date":"2014-03-08T13:10:37","date_gmt":"2014-03-08T18:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/?p=229"},"modified":"2014-04-27T09:50:14","modified_gmt":"2014-04-27T13:50:14","slug":"hiking-hp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.jonesling.us\/?p=229","title":{"rendered":"Hiking @ HP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Meghan, Alpha, and I have started hiking the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mass.gov\/eea\/agencies\/dcr\/massparks\/region-north\/harold-parker-state-forest.html\">Harold Parker State Forest<\/a> today.\u00a0 It&#8217;s pretty big, it should tide us over for the spring.<\/p>\n<p>Our first leg was <em>beautiful<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301579254.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" title=\"wp-1394301579254\" src=\"\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301579254.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apparently there are beaver in that pond:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301539084.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" title=\"wp-1394301539084\" src=\"\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301539084.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This tree has seen a little more beaver-love:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301634907.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" title=\"wp-1394301634907\" src=\"\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/wpid-wp-1394301634907.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The trails in the HP connect with a ring of trails around metro Boston, the <a href=\"http:\/\/baycircuit.org\/\">Bay Circuit<\/a>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s 200 miles from end to end, so we&#8217;ll be hiking it for a few years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Its a nice replacement for our old hiking project, along the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct.gov\/deep\/hoprivertrail\">Hop River Trail<\/a>.\u00a0 The four of us hiked from Willimantic to Manchester over the course of a year, the Bay Circuit should take a bit longer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meghan, Alpha, and I have started hiking the Harold Parker State Forest today.\u00a0 It&#8217;s pretty big, it should tide us over for the spring.
