{"id":216,"date":"2014-02-24T21:50:28","date_gmt":"2014-02-25T02:50:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/?p=216"},"modified":"2014-04-27T09:50:47","modified_gmt":"2014-04-27T13:50:47","slug":"sledding-at-osv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.jonesling.us\/?p=216","title":{"rendered":"Sledding at OSV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alpha, Beta, and I went to <a title=\"Old Sturbridge Village\" href=\"http:\/\/www.osv.org\" target=\"_blank\">Old Sturbridge Village<\/a> this past weekend to see their Antique Sleigh Rally. Alpha is obsessed with horses so it seemed like a home run in the Dad of the Year game.<\/p>\n<p>Alas, Alpha bored of it in under ten minutes. Even Beta was still having fun when she announced that she wanted to do something else. Wow.<\/p>\n<p>At Beta&#8217;s request we made a beeline to the Freeman Farm so we could commune with the sheep and chickens. And there, behind the cooper&#8217;s shed, we found my redemption: sledding.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_219\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-219\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/wpid-IMG_20140222_150538.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-219\" src=\"\/\/jonesling.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/wpid-IMG_20140222_150538-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Sledding at OSV\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.jonesling.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/wpid-IMG_20140222_150538-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.jonesling.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/wpid-IMG_20140222_150538-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.jonesling.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/wpid-IMG_20140222_150538-624x467.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-219\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sledding at OSV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We lived a little on the wild side: both girls tried sledding while standing (pictured) as well as other orientations (backwards, in the lotus position, etc). Alpha was quite proud of herself after her first run while standing, and I was equally proud of her.
